SESSION REPORT - SWORDS OF THE INNER SEA, SESSION 28 Looking to turn a rich profit from extracting the JADE STATUES from the ancient SWAMP TEMPLE, MAZDAK THE GRIM, FOLG SON OF FOLG, the sorcerers WEND WITHER and THOGGOS, and THE HERMIT RINPOCHE, along with their henchman MINO set out from RIN LOTU, the canoes and rafts of the swamper EZO and his relatives laden with ropes, lumber, and other equipment. After passing a barren crag raising from the water, which seemed to conceal a NARROW CAVE ENTRANCE, they arrived on the temple island. Unloading their supplies, they tossed many fish to appease the CROCODILES dozing in the temple fountain and entered the temple proper. How much is a horse? Are there other mounts? Can I ride a crocodile? Hippo? Giant lizard? Terror bird?
ReplyDeleteMaxim Golubchik there do not seem to be any ventriloquists hanging around RIN LOTU (This doesn't mean you can't try to find a teacher somewhere else)
ReplyDeleteJoshua Blackketter A riding horse is normally 100GP, but might be subject to a markup in RIN LOTU. Many people near GUNN LATTH and GIKHUN TAM ride camels. There was a RHINO WITH A SADDLE wandering in the nearby savanna recently. Crocodiles, hippos, and terror birds seem like dangerous mount choices without magical control.
ReplyDeleteWeird mounts might show up sometimes as "special items" in the At The Market section of event news though
ReplyDeleteTerror birds are said to roam the coast north of GIKHUN TAM in case you wanted to try to catch one/steal eggs
ReplyDeleteAre there any fire-breathers in Rin Lotu?
ReplyDeleteThere's a guy, yeah
ReplyDeleteMaxim Golubchik I would wait till third level for sword swallowing
ReplyDelete4134 xp baby. I've thought about that, and have come up with exactly zero ways it would be useful in the dungeon.
ReplyDeletecole long I am totally going to ask that guy to teach me firebreathing.
