Aunar Nun (or maybe just cole long) delicately suggested that since Prince Ganduna is mercurial in aspect (read: on the border of senility), he would respond better to the whole training-princesses thing if someone else suggested it. I would really appreciate it if anyone could do that for me, and I'll let you borrow my BRILLIANT GREEN ROBE, which like a dunce I forgot to wear.
I will check my charisma but probly a mage is better
ReplyDeleteI actually took that as hinting that HE would be able to make it happen. I think you need to figure out how to make Aunar Nun like you more and make him think it's a good idea.
ReplyDeleteIdeas for convincing:
ReplyDeleteFind out what happened to the daughters of the Princes of Ghikun Tam, Zurenth Zann, or Uttun after the Empire took over.
Also, maybe scan the history books for a Boudicca-esque analogue in the local culture.
The idea of Aunar Nun liking me is about as appealing as putting a serpent in my pants.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Aunar Nun suddenly into princesses? Is he collecting them? Should I rename Folg son of Folg to Humbert son of Humbert?
ReplyDeleteDennis Higgins YEKA and YEMLA are the daughters of the (late) prince of Zurenth Zan. There were apparently no survivors of the royal family of Gikhun Tam. Reports from Uttun are spotty but apparently the Governor showed little if any mercy to the ruling classes.
ReplyDeleteDennis Higgins there is also a boudica-like analog in the character of Princess THUSA, the daughter of NAR BARBANDENA BIRDA
ReplyDeletecole long can the princesses claim any lineage from NAR BARBANDENA BIRDA?
ReplyDeleteDennis Higgins probably not, if there is it would be distant and indirect
ReplyDeleteit is actually Ganduna and his brothers that are descended from Thusa
ReplyDeleteGotcha. You see where I'm going with it, though, right?
ReplyDeleteDennis Higgins Yeah, I do. There is a substantial tradition of woman warriors in Gunn Latth specifically and the two empires in general, although the royal family has had only sons for at least two very long generations in a row. As for what made Ganduna reject the idea, who knows, princes are weird
