SESSION REPORT - SWORDS OF THE INNER SEA, SESSION 29

SESSION REPORT - SWORDS OF THE INNER SEA, SESSION 29 In days of torrential rain, the warrior MAZDAK THE GRIM and the sorcerer NILT-SIAR set out from RIN LOTU with their companion, the cannibal MINO on the river boat of the smuggler WRESI. Upon arriving in GUNN LATTH, the docks were busy with the news that a squadron of IMPERIAL SHIPS had landed at UTTUN and that the Governor KIR KARIK SAYIN'S forces had breached Uttun's walls. Soon, they met with the Royal Physician AUNAR NUN, who requested that they look out for spies among the fortresses of the warlords near Gunn Latth. Enlisting the services of the one-armed warrior HUTTANA and the porter DHUMBAR, they headed to a LONELY TREE on the savannah in which a mysterious HOLY MAN was trapped, supposedly by a sorcerer's curse. Allowing the holy man to ride on Dhumbar's shoulders, they learned he was uncannily weighty, slowing their progress as they set out for ZURENTH ZAN, where the holy man claimed to have business with the

SESSION REPORT - SWORDS OF THE INNER SEA, SESSION 28

SESSION REPORT - SWORDS OF THE INNER SEA, SESSION 28 Looking to turn a rich profit from extracting the JADE STATUES from the ancient SWAMP TEMPLE, MAZDAK THE GRIM, FOLG SON OF FOLG, the sorcerers WEND WITHER and THOGGOS, and THE HERMIT RINPOCHE, along with their henchman MINO set out from RIN LOTU, the canoes and rafts of the swamper EZO and his relatives laden with ropes, lumber, and other equipment. After passing a barren crag raising from the water, which seemed to conceal a NARROW CAVE ENTRANCE, they arrived on the temple island. Unloading their supplies, they tossed many fish to appease the CROCODILES dozing in the temple fountain and entered the temple proper. However, as Folg and Thoggos tried to test the statue's attachment to its base, all four statues abruptly animated and the nearest swung heavily at Folg with its stony fists. First Thoggos, then the rest of the party fell back, and while Folg and Mazdak launched volleys of javelins and arrows at the statue nearest the o

SESSION REPORT - SWORDS OF THE INNER SEA, SESSIONS 26 & 27

SESSION REPORT - SWORDS OF THE INNER SEA, SESSIONS 26 & 27 Seeking to follow up on the rumors of ANCIENT RUINS deep in the swamp south of the town of RIN LOTU, the Sorcerer WEND WITHER, MAZDAK THE GRIM, FOLG SON OF FOLG, ONUDILE THE HORSEMAN, JUKKAR THE STARRY-EYED, and THE HERMIT RINPOCHE set out from GUNN LATTH, their hireling MINO in tow. Reaching Rin Lotu, Folg defeater the swamp boatman EZO in a bout of fisticuffs, and having won his respect, enlisted him and his brother-in-law BIK to take them to the ruins in boats. Avoiding the gaze of several HYPNOTIC FROGS, they reached a small island in the swamps, on which sat the cracked husk of an ANCIENT MARBLE TEMPLE, elaborately carved with crocodile motifs. Dragging their boats ashore, they investigated the rotten hull of an older boat, under which there were hidden several large jars, and near the misty steps leading up in the temple, the found a seemingly human skeleton overgrown with weeds. Ascending into the forward courtyards
